The Dyal Singh Public School, Dyal Singh Colony is one of the four Schools run by the Dyal Singh College Trust Society, Karnal. This Society was set up at the turn of the Twentieth Century by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia with an objective of providing liberal education. The Society first set up a College and a School in Lahore. After partition, a College was set up at Karnal in 1949 and over the last 25 years four Schools have been set up of which the School at Dyal Singh Colony is the first.
The School at Dyal Singh Colony started in the Year 1983 with a student strength of about around 200 and today we have over 2000 students on our roll. The school is affiliated to a CBSE curriculum upto 10+2 with all streams Medical, Non-Medical, Commerce and Humanities. We endeavor to provide a holistic education of a high standard at an affordable fee. We lay emphasis on Academic excellence, Confidence building, Discipline, Communication Skills, Co-Curricular activities and Sports so that the students can achieve success in their chosen careers. There is a strong emphasis on inculcating the right values and our students emerge not only as successful individuals but also responsible members of the society.
We strive to imbibe in our students, a culture of excellence in academics, creativity and all-round development with a balanced ethos of work and play. Our mission is to provide a caring and stimulating environment that offers contemporary educational programme supporting varied career options. Our pedagogy is child centric with an emphasis on over-all growth and development. We inspire students to discover their talents and realize their potential.
The School has achieved outstanding results in academics with the passing out students clearing various competitive examinations and getting admitted in good colleges for further education. The School has made a mark in various Inter-School and District level competitions like Inter School debates, Essay writing competitions, Music Competitions and brought laurels to the School.
We consider the parents to be important contributors in our endeavors and welcome suggestion for improving the educational curriculum.
